My Story
Some of our most meaningful pieces we own are tucked away in closets…
The Name
If you’ve ever wondered where the name Kyriea Marie Designs came from, it’s actually a pretty simple story. Kyriea Marie is a combination of my middle name and my sister’s middle name. I created the name while I was in college, long before I knew exactly what this business would become, but it stuck with me and eventually became the name behind my designs. (And in case you’re wondering, Kyriea is pronounced keer-ee-uh.)
The Heart
I’ve always loved creating, but there’s something different about creating something that holds real meaning for someone. Being able to take an idea, a memory, or something deeply personal and turn it into something tangible is incredibly fulfilling to me. It’s the kind of work that fills my heart in a way that’s hard to explain, and over time, I’ve come to realize that creating meaningful things for people is more than just something I enjoy—it truly feels like the calling God has given me.
The Start
I never set out to specialize in heirloom bridal redesigns—it found me. A friend asked if I could transform a sentimental garment for her, and I immediately fell in love with the process. I realized how much I loved not only the creativity of designing, but the opportunity to create something that meant so much to someone else. I’ve been creating meaningful pieces ever since.
My Experience
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Fashion Merchandising and Design from Carson-Newman University before completing my MBA. Along the way, I interned with couture designer Sharon OSP in Miami, designed pieces featured in the Fleurish sustainable fashion show for four consecutive years, and created costumes for local high school theater productions.
Kyriea Marie Designs has grown steadily over the past four years, and I’m grateful that each project has allowed me to preserve meaningful stories through thoughtful, custom design.
